2016-nmea-conferenceMarine Security Leader to Highlight Latest Systems September 19-22, 2016

Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – GOST® (Global Ocean Security Technologies), celebrating its 10th year as a world leader in marine security, tracking, monitoring and video surveillance systems, announced today that it will highlight its latest marine products at the 2016 National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) Conference and Expo in  Naples, Florida. GOST will be located in Booth #301.

The Company will proudly highlight its GOST Nav-Tracker 1.0. Capable of global two-way satellite communication, the Nav-Tracker 1.0 can be controlled both locally and remotely. Boat operators can arm / disarm the geofence (security radius) or even press an onboard panic button to send out a global “Alert” notice to pre-designated text and email recipients. Loved ones on shore, weary of an overdue arrival can poll the vessel for its exact position, speed, and direction at that time from the GOST website or GOST Tracker app. Using Inmarsat vast constellation of satellites means it has truly global coverage, with the exception of the extreme north and south poles. It provides an average network availability exceeding 99.99 percent. The Nav-Tracker 1.0 is designed specifically for use within the marine environment and is rigorously tested to GOST’s exacting standards.

Also on display will be the GOST Tracker vessel monitoring app which allows boat owners to access and control their Nav-Tracker equipped vessel’s location, state, and status information directly from their mobile device. Customers can quickly and easily log in to the new app using its simple, secure, one-touch interface to remotely monitor and arm/disarm the Nav-Tracker device installed on any number of vessels.

“Our GOST Nav-Tracker in combination with the Tracker app is a necessary tool for our customers to have the peace of mind in knowing exactly where their boat is,” said Jay  Keenan, president and CEO, GOST. “NMEA is a great opportunity to interact with other marine electronics professionals; we are looking forward to highlighting the capabilities of our new app as well as all of our proven security and tracking products.”

The NMEA Conference and Expo is a once-a-year opportunity for training, face-to-face meetings of dealers and manufacturers, networking, and making sure that a marine electronics business is prepared for growth.
